Acri Bond Plastic Adhesives

At Pacific West Corporation, we now distribute the range of Acri Bond plastic adhesives from our premises in Wetherill Park in Western Sydney.  These adhesives are ideal for use with all types of plastic products, and the following tables show which Acri Bond product to use for your application and the corresponding plastic.  All the Acri Bond plastic adhesive products are Australian made and developed especially for use with our extensive plastic rod and plastic sheet range.  The adhesives are clear, but colours can be added if you require a custom made plastic adhesive.  These coloured adhesives are ideal in a teaching situation to demonstrate the glue's capabilities to your school or Tafe students.  We supply Australia wide and delivery to most major centres is overnight.

Our range of Acri Bond plastic adhesives are designed to glue plastic to plastic, as you can see from the charts below.  We stock the four different grades of adhesives, which cover a range of gluing options, capabilities and requirements.  These plastic adhesives can be used in industrial applications by plastic fabricators and by model makers and hobbyists alike.  They are all available in 100ml, 500ml, 1 litre and 4 litres.

Acri Bond 5

Acri Bond 5 plastic adhesive is a very fast curing, water thin, clear solvent cement which is ideal for joining uncrosslinked cast and extruded acrylic (perspex), PC and ABS plastic products.  It is also suitable for many other applications as shown on the chart below.  This plastic adhesive provides instant initial bonding which makes it ideal for making T-bonds and bonding of narrow areas of all kinds.  The recommended application can be brushed, syringe or applied with a needle applicator.  It is available in clear and three transparent basic colours.

Acri Bond 5 plastic adhesive is best for joining cast acrylic.

Acri Bond 10

Acri Bond 10 plastic adhesive is a clear, thickened acrylic cement which is suitable for use with most commonly used plastic products in various combinations.  Despite being a general purpose cement, it provides especially good results with cast acrylic (perspex), PVC, ASA, and ABS.  This plastic adhesive leaves a clear finish on all materials and provides very strong bonding.  It is fast drying and the initial bond is firm within a short time.  After drying it leaves approximately 30% solid residue.  It is available in clear and three transparent basic colours.

Acri Bond 10 plastic adhesive is best for joining cast acrylic.

Acri Bond 20

Acri Bond 20 plastic adhesive is a very fast curing, water thin, clear solvent cement which is suitable for joining ABS, HIPS, PVC and PETG, making it an ideal glue for model makers as well as sign fabricators.  It is one part, easy to use adhesive that provides very strong bonding and a clear finish. The recommended application can be brushed, syringe or applied with a needle applicator.  This plastic adhesive is available in clear and three transparent basic colours.

Acri Bond 20 plastic adhesive is best for joining ABS, HIPS, PVC and PETG.

Acri Bond 25

Acri Bond 25 plastic adhesive is a clear, thickened cement that can provide virtually bubble free joining.  It is suitable for joining acyrlic to acrylic, PC, HIPS, ABS and PVC.  It leaves a clear finish on acrylic and provides very strong bonding.  This plastic adhesive has a drying speed that nominate this adhesive to be best for acrylic laminations.  Acri Bond 25 is available in clear, and in three basic transparent colours.

Xerapol

Xerapol is a polishing paste which removes scratches from acrylic and some other plastic products.  Xerapol is water soluble for easy wash off and is also suitable for use in polishing machines.
