Features and Benefits of Advanced Engineering Plastic Products

This unique group of products offer properties which expand the limits of other engineering thermoplastics. Some of the advantages gained by using Advanced Engineering Plastic Products are, retention of mechanical and fatigue properties at elevated temperatures, resistance against high energy radiation, maximum thermal operating temperatures are approaching that of teflon, improved chemical resistance and increased dielectric properties.

Heat resistance of up to 310 deg Continuous and 500 deg C for short periods can be achieved with Celazole PBI (see table below).

Ketron PEEK is ideal for applications where excellent performance under extremes of temperature, chemical resistance, load bearing and dimensional stability is required.

Torlon is used for parts requiring high temperature and excellent mechanical and dimensional stability.

PPSU 1000 polyphenylsulphone has better impact strength than PEI 1000 and has virtually unlimited steam sterilisability which makes it an excellent choice for parts that require steam sterilisation.
